On the occasion of Heinrich Böll's 100th birthday on 21 December 2017, the Heinrich Böll Foundation honored its eponym with a traveling exhibition. The exhibition shows a comprehensive reflection on Böll's political commitment, which went far beyond his literary work. Until his death in 1985, Böll shaped the public political discourse in divided Germany like no other. The specially designed display system stages the content with banners of different sizes, which stand symbolic for the political interference. The displays stand in solid concrete bases and can be flexibly adapted to exhibition venues of different sizes, one of the main requirements for the exhibition.
